Hiding RVs

As you track more RVs, your garage can get crowded. RVThinker gives you two complementary tools to keep things manageable: manual hiding and automatic hide/highlight by recency.

Manual Hiding

Click the eye icon (👁️) on any RV card to hide it. The RV isn't deleted — it's just removed from view. This is useful for:

  • RVs you've decided against but want to keep for reference
  • RVs that have gone off the market but might come back
  • Anything you want out of the way without losing the data

To bring hidden RVs back into view, click Show Sold/Hidden in the toolbar.

Hide by Recency

The toolbar includes a Hide button with a days input field. This feature automatically hides RVs based on when you last observed them:

  1. Enter a number of days (e.g., 14).
  2. Click Hide.

Any RV whose most recent observation is older than that number of days will be hidden from the grid. The idea: if you haven't checked on an RV in two weeks, maybe it's stale and you don't need it cluttering your view.

Example

You set the days to 7 and click Hide. You have 20 RVs, but you've only checked on 12 of them in the past week. The other 8 are temporarily hidden. Change the days value or click Clear Search to bring them back.

Highlight by Recency

The Highlight button works similarly but in the opposite direction — instead of hiding old RVs, it highlights recent ones:

  1. Enter a number of days (e.g., 3).
  2. Click Highlight.

RVs with recent observations (within the specified days) will be visually emphasized in the grid. This is helpful when you want to see which RVs you've actively been monitoring this week versus ones you haven't touched.

Combining the Tools

You can use manual hiding, recency hiding, and highlighting together:

  • Manual hide = "I don't want to see this specific RV"
  • Recency hide = "Show me only the RVs I've been actively tracking"
  • Highlight = "Keep everything visible, but make the active ones stand out"
tip

The recency-based features are particularly useful if you're tracking 20+ RVs and want to focus on the ones you're actively watching. Set the days to match your typical browsing cadence — if you check listings every weekend, a 7-day window works well.
