Profile Settings

Your profile controls how you appear to other users and provides information RVThinker uses to enhance your experience (like distance calculations).

Accessing Your Profile​

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
  2. Click User Settings.

What You Can Edit​

Display Name​

The name shown when you send messages or when admins view user lists. If you leave this blank, your email address is used instead. Pick something recognizable.

Email​

Your login email. Changing this will change how you sign in.

Address Information​

  • Address — your street address (optional, not displayed publicly)
  • City — your city
  • State — your state
  • Zip Code — your postal code
Why the zip code matters

Your zip code is used to calculate distance to RVs. When a listing includes the seller's zip code, RVThinker computes the distance between your location and theirs. Without your zip code, distance can't be calculated and will show as blank.

Changing Your Password​

If you registered with email and password (not a social login), you can change your password from the profile screen.

Social login users

If you signed in with Google, Facebook, Microsoft, or GitHub, there's no RVThinker-specific password to change. Your authentication is handled entirely by that provider.

Saving Changes​

Click Save after making changes. Your profile updates take effect immediately.

Deleting Your Account​

If you want to completely remove your account:

  1. Open User Settings from the hamburger menu.
  2. Click Delete Account.
  3. Confirm through the multi-step confirmation process.
This is permanent

Deleting your account removes all of your data — RVs, listings, price history, images, observations, and messages. There is no way to recover any of it.

Account deletion requires multiple confirmation steps to prevent accidental deletion.
