Images
Good photos make it much easier to remember which RV is which when you're comparing several similar models. RVThinker gives you full control over the images associated with each RV. We do some image processing to reduce database size and keep lawyers happy.
Uploading Images
There are three ways to add images:
Drag & Drop
Drag one or more image files from your computer and drop them onto the RV detail view, you'll notice the outline of the screen will highlight when your mouse drags the image over it. The images will be uploaded immediately.
Click to Browse
Click the upload area to open your system's file picker. Select one or more images.
Paste from Clipboard
Copy an image from any source (a website, a screenshot, another app) and paste it directly to the RV Details view. Once you've copied it, click on the RV Details view then paste Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on Mac).
:::Protip: screenshot + paste See a great photo on a dealer's website? Take a screenshot of just that image (most operating systems let you screenshot a selected area) and paste it directly into RVThinker. No saving to a file needed. :::
Viewing Images
Click any thumbnail in the gallery to open it in a lightbox — a full-screen overlay that lets you see the image in a large size. Navigate between images using the arrow controls or close the lightbox to return to the detail view.
Reordering Images
The order of images matters because the first image is the one displayed on the RV card in your garage. To reorder:
- In the image gallery on the RV detail view, drag a thumbnail to a new position.
- Drop it where you want it to appear in the sequence.
- The new order is saved automatically.
Put the most recognizable or useful photo first — maybe an exterior shot, or the floorplan layout if you're comparing interiors. Or use an image of why you don't like a particular RV.
Deleting Images
To remove an image, look for the delete control on the thumbnail or in the lightbox view. Deleted images are removed permanently.
Image Tips
- Exterior shots help you visually identify RVs in the grid
- Floorplan diagrams are incredibly useful when comparing layouts
- Interior photos remind you of finishes, cabinet colors, and condition
- Dashboard / cockpit photos help compare instrumentation and driving position
- Generator / mechanical bay photos are valuable for assessing condition of a used RV
The more visual information you capture, the less you'll need to re-visit dealer websites to remind yourself what An RV looked like.
